Minnie Estelle Brasher, age 87, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2001, at the local hospital. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at the Seymour Church of Christ with A.B. Martin officiating. Interment was held in the Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brasher married Commie Eugene Brasher on January 17, 1934, in Haskell, Texas. They moved to Seymour in 1947, and she had been a resident since that time. He preceded her in death on October 23, 1976.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Church of Christ for 51 years, and a member of the Ladies Bible Class.
She is survived by three sons, Thurman Brasher and his wife, Mary, of Leakey, Texas, Clayton Brasher and his wife, Sherry, of Seymour, Texas, and Mike Brasher and his wife, Vicky, of Seymour, Texas; by one sister, Maggie Merchant of Haskell, Texas; and by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
