Saint. She was the daughter of an Irish king who came to wales to live as a hermitess. One day while the Prince of Powys was hunting a hare he encountered melangell as she gave the animal refuge. The prince was impressed with her kindness and gave her land to start a community of religous women. Died around 590 AD and her Feast Day is May 27th. (bio by: girlofcelje (inactive))
