Cornelia Burlingame, Leavenworth, a former secretary, died Saturday, May 13, 1995, at the Medicalodge of Leavenworth. She was 86.

Mrs. Burlingame was born Aug. 29, 1908, at Leavenworth, the daughter of John and Cornelia Flipse DeRidder.

She had been a secretary for Alton Packaging Inc., which later became the Jefferson-Smurfit Corp. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Thursday Club, Church Circle, Friendship Club and was active in the City Union Mission of Kansas City, Mo. She played the organ and sang with the Kansas City Symphony.

She married Edgar O. Burlngame in April of 1930 at Leavenworth. He died on Dec. 3, 1969.

She is survived by a sister, Anna C.E. Chapman, Leavenworth.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Davis Funeral Chapel.

Services will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Donald Schomacker of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City, Mo.

Memorials may be given to the City Union Mission, Kansas City, Mo.
