Mr. Kruggel was born July 8, 1926, in Ashland. During World War II, he served in the Army in Europe. He lived in Medford and Ashland before moving to Portland in 1978, and was an office manager and freight handler for Rio Grande and South Pacific railroads.
He lived in Beaverton for the past 18 years. In 1950, he married Elizabeth Yoakum
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Valerie Moore and Victoria Forsyth; sister, Loisgae Singer; and one grandchild.
