After serving in the US Navy during the Korean War, he was a radio personality before being recruited to join the staff on "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet", show. His film credits included "Loving You" (1957), "Earth vs. the Spider" (1958), "Love and Kisses" (1965), "WUSA" (1970), "Smokey and the Hotwire Gang" (1979) and "Lobster Man from Mars" (1989).
