Hannah Miller was born 19 May 1811, in Tennessee, and died after 1880 in Miller County Missouri. She is buried at Dooley Cemetary. On 1 Jan 1829 she was married in Cole County, Mo., to Allan Gouge, who was born between 1804 and 1810 in New York, and died about 1875 in Moniteau County, Missouri. He is burined in California, Missouri Cemetery. The Gouge family came to the Moniteau Co., Mo., area with the Tennessee Colony.

Allan and Hannah Gouge owned a farm on the west side of present Highway 87 in Moniteau Co.,m Mo., north of the North Moreau bridge. The hosue is still in existence. Allen died there when his granddaughter, Anna, was three years old; he was sitting in front of the fireplace holding Anna when he suddenly fell dead.

About 3 years after Allen died Hannah moved to Miller County with her unmarried children; they lived with her son, Wilson Milton Gouge, who bought a farm adjoing Green McClure's near Dooley Cemetery. The road from Blue Springs to Dooley Cemetery ran by or through the Gouge farm.
