Local Boy Kills Dad, Brother,
Best Friend In Brutal Slaying

A great pall fell over the quiet peaceful city of Hammon when tragedy struck this small community Wednesday morning. A father, a brother and a friend are dead, the victims of an early morning triple slaying.

Buddy Fesmire, an 18 year old high school junior, walked into the bedroom where his father, Felix Fesmire, and his small brother, "Buckey", were sleeping and took their lives.

The elder Fesmire, 60, a carpenter and painter, was shot through the head and 10 year old "Buckey" was stabbed. His friend, Roy Thomas, 17, was bludgeoned to death.

After committing the heinous crimes, Fesmire drove to the farm home of friends for whom he had worked until a few weeks ago, and confessed the killings. He was taken into custody and is being held for questioning.

Young Roy Thomas, also a high school junior, was the son of Mrs. Imogene Foster and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Trout, Sr.
