Anne Lydia Jackson was born July 2, 1843, in Emmitsburg, Frederick County, Maryland, the daughter of John T. B. and Mary Josephine Hovis Jackson. On October 22, 1867, in Emmitsburg, she married George Thomas Humerick, son of Andrew and Lydia Anne Hockensmith Humerick. They were the parents of 10 children: Charles Edward, Mary Catherine, Annie Lydia, Andrew Jackson, Agnes Jeanette, Edgar George, Emily Gertrude, Rebecca Elizabeth, Albert Emanuel and Bernard James Humerick. Anne passed away on April 5, 1927, in Emmitsburg, and was buried on the 7th in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery there.

Obituary for Anna Lydia Jackson Humerick from the Frederick Daily News of Wednesday, April 6, 1927:

"Mrs. Annie Hammerick, of Emmitsburg, 85 years of age, wife of ThomasHammerick, died at her home in Emmitsburg, Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, of complications. She was the oldest person in the town and a member of a well-known family. She was born near Mt. St. Mary's College in 1842, and had she survived until next October, she would have beenmarried 60 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by five sons, Charles, Jackson, Albert and Bernard J. Hammerick, of Altoona, Pennsylvania, and Edgar Hammerick, Emmitsburg, and five daughters, Mrs. C. L. Reynolds, Craddock, Virginia; Mrs. John Kelly and Mrs. Edwin Chrismer, Emmitsburg; Mrs. Elizabeth Pieffer, Baltimore, and Mrs. James Stone, Washington, and 29 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren survive. Two sisters, Mrs. Simon Roddy, Baltimore, 90 years of age, and Mrs. John Jackson, Emmitsburg, 83 years old, also survive. The funeral Thursday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment Catholic Cemetery."
