| Birth: | Nov. 26, 1861 | | Death: | Nov. 30, 1944 |  US Senator, Presidential Cabinet Secretary. Served as a Senator from from New Mexico from 1912-21. Also served as Justice of New Mexico Territorial Supreme Court in 1893 and as Secretary of the Interior from 1921-23 in the administration of Warren Harding. Central figure in the Teapot Dome scandal that shook the Harding Administration, Fall was convicted in 1929 of accepting a bribe for leasing government-owned oil reserves at Teapot Dome to private companies. He was sentenced to a year in prison in 1931, and died in poverty.
