Harry C. Shaffer
Harry C. Shaffer of Johnstown, but formerly of near Schellsburg was injured in the mines at Johnstown, Monday morning of last week and death came soon after.
He was the son of Silas Shaffer and was married to Edna Custer, October 21st, 1916, and leaves besides his beloved wife, a little girl, Lena Eleanor, aged 4 years.
He also has two brothers, "Pat" of Johnstown, and Job of New Paris; and two sisters, Mrs. Abie Blanchot, of Johnstown and Mrs. A.E. Miller of New Paris, surviving.
The funeral took place on Wednesday of last week at New Paris, conducted by Rev. Smith of New Paris.
Mr. Shaffer worked for two years in Cambria Steel Mills and the last two years in the mines. He was a good energetic young man.
