FUNERAL FRIDAY FOR MISS ARNOLD

Miss Helen Arnold, 50, Lash high school French and Spanish instructor, died early Wednesday at her home on Rt. 40, five miles west of this city.

A native of Adamsville, she was born May 16, 1898, the daughter of Charles and Emma Hanks Arnold. She has spent most of her life near this city.

Her mother survives. Miss Arnold had been failing for more than a year, and had not taught for more than a month. Her first teaching position was in 1921 at Findlay.

Miss Arnold was a member of the Grace Methodist church, the American Association of University Women, Business & Professional Women, and the Delta Kappa Gamma sorority.

Funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Mader-Peoples funeral home. Rev. Karl W. Schefler will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park [note: she was buried at New Concord].

Pallbearers will be: Norris Schneider, Bernard Black, Edwin Roe, Merle Shamp. Ellis Miracle, and Kenneth Thompson; honorary Donald Summers, Ralph Storta and E. C. Boggs.

The body is at the funeral home.
