Ralph Lavern Lindholm

Ralph, 85, was born to Leonard & Jessie (Minard) Lindholm in Jamestown, New York on February 15, 1927. Ralph went to the Lord with his family at his side at home in Lemoore, California on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 after fighting a brave battle against cancer. Ralph grew up in Jamestown with his two siblings; Audrey & Wayne Lindholm. Ralph graduated from high school in 1945.

Ralph proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. While serving in the U.S. Navy, Ralph served in various duty stations; NRS - Buffalo, NY, NTS-Sampson, NY, NTS-Newport, RI, USS Gratia/RS TI-San Francisco, CA, NB-Philadelphia, PA, Hawaii Navy Base and in Lido Beach, Long Island, NY. He fought many battles but especially; WWII and the Korean War from November 29, 1944 - March 31, 1952. Ralph received commendations for his bravery and loyalty to our country; Victory Medal, American Theater Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon. Ralph was very involved with his community over the years but was especially fond of his Men's Group at church. On December 22, 1951,

Ralph married the love of his life at First Baptist Church of Coalinga; Mildred Joyce Downey. They had a beautiful life together until her passing in February 2007. Together they had a precious daughter; Linda Joyce Lindholm. He retired from PG&E in 1984 as a Dispatcher after 32 years while he and his family lived in Los Banos, California. Ralph was a resident of Lemoore for the past 16 years. Ralph traveled extensively throughout the US after retiring, constructing doll houses… Ralph has been a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lemoore, California since 2006.

Ralph was preceded in death by his beloved parents; Leo & Jessie Lindholm and his beloved wife of 55 years; Joyce Lindholm. Ralph leaves behind his loving daughter & husband; Linda & Shawn Keenom of Lemoore, CA. Linda's four beautiful children; Joseph Ralph Duran of Phoenix, AZ, Nicholas Anthony Duran, Desiree Nicole Duran and Madison Mae De Armond all of Lemoore, CA. Ralph is also survived by his eight precious great-grandchildren.


A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Lemoore; 500 E. Bush Street, Lemoore, CA 93245 559-924-5295. A Private Interment will take place at San Joaquin National Cemetery; 32053 McCabe Road, Gustine, CA 95322.
