Services will be at the First United Methodist Church, Frankfort, at 10 a.m. Thursday. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 tonight at Rogers Funeral Home, Frankfort. Following the service Thursday, a service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home, Cadiz, with visitation to be from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in East End Cemetery, Cadiz.
A native of Trigg County, he was born March 3, 1913, the son of the late Alonzo and Mary Charlotte Bush.
He moved to Frankfort in 1948 and worked in highway construction across the state and was a coal operator in Pike County.
During World War II he spent three years in Costa Rica working with the building of the Pan American Highway.
He served as president of the Kentucky Highway Contractors Association, was a member of the board of the Salvation Army in Frankfort and was a life-time member of the board of Frankfort Habilitation, which he helped establish more than 25 years ago. He also served as administrator of the Ralph E. Mills Foundation.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Alexander Bush; a son, Harold Bush, Versailles; two daughters, Jane Bush, Frankfort, Shirley Drescher, Nashville, Tenn.; four brothers, Carloss and Kenneth Bush, Cadiz, Cecil Bush, McKinney, Texas and Charles Bush, Frankfort, seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
