Edward L. Lyle, age 72 of North Ridgeville, died Friday, October 15, 2004 at EMH Regional Medical Center following a short illness.
He was born February 25, 1932 in Punxsutawney, PA., moving to North Ridgeville in 1969.
He was a member of Fields United Methodist Church, North Ridgeville, the John W. Jenks Masonic Lodge # 534, Punxsutawney, the Al Koran Shinners, Cleveland and the Coudersport Consistory, Coudersport, PA.
He enjoyed working on cars, woodworking, bird watching, working in the yard and was an avid sports fan.
Mr. Lyle served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Having received the Korean Service Medal with one bronze star, National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, and the Air Medal.
He worked as a Sales Representative for Ohio Beverage Company, Cleveland retiring in 1997.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years Nancy C. (nee Mock) 2 Daughters, Stacy Shema of Avon Lake, Shannon Culler of Elyria; Son, Shawn Lyle of North Ridgeville; five grandchildren; Brother, Randall Lyle of Harrisburg, NC; and his Mother, Ruth Lyle of Punxsutawney, PA.
He was preceded in death by Father, Harvey C. Lyle.
Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9, Sunday, October 17 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge RoadNorth Ridgeville, OH.
Services will be held at Fields United Methodist Church, Monday, October 18 at 10:00 AM with Reverend C. Michael Gibson, Pastor officiating.
Interment will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
