Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.
Larry was born Feb. 12, 1952, in Linton, the son of Roy and Margaret (Mathern) Vetter. He was raised on the family farm and graduated in 1971 from Emmons Central High School in Strasburg.
Larry married Dina Baumgartner in June 1974. He farmed in Linton and later moved to Bismarck where he was a videographer for his company, Master Video and Memories. Larry then moved to Moffit, where he had since resided.
He loved music and played the drums with the band "76." Larry always enjoyed the outdoors and he raised tomato plants and experimented with greenhouse growing and horticulture.
Larry was a free-spirited man who enjoyed people and had a goal when socializing: to encourage and raise other's spirits. He would be one to say "Go for it!"
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Joel Risser, Omaha, Neb.; his son, Larry Vetter Jr., Moffit; his daughter, Crystal Vetter, Portland, Ore.; his grandchildren, Riley and Noah Risser, Omaha; and his brothers, Dom (Linda) Vetter, Bismarck, and Al (Betty) Vetter, Tulsa, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Margaret Vetter; his brother, Roy Vetter; and an infant brother, Balzer.
