Lottie Brelsford, 98, passed away October 10, 2009, in Port Angeles, Washington. She was born in Goodridge, Minnesota, the youngest of five children born to her parents, Anton and Ada (Watterberg) Knudson. She attended school in Gully and Bemidji, graduating in 1928, then attended the University of Minnesota graduating in 1935 with a B.S. in Home Economics.
Lottie was involved in 4-H from the time she was 10 years old, as a member, county leader and later as a leader of a local 4-H club. She was working with the Farm Security Administration in Crosby, North Dakota when she met John Brelsford, a native of England. They were married April 17, 1943, in Minot, ND.
She belonged to the PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization) and a quilting club as well as the Olympic Peninsula Home Economists. She enjoyed beach combing, sewing and collecting demi-tasse cups. The family made several trips to England to visit the country and John's family.
Lottie was predeceased by her parents, husband, three brothers, Claude, Ray and Howard Knudson, and one sister, Ruby Knudson. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Brelsford.
