On June 9, 1935 in Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County), Ada married William Granville Jay, who was born March 27, 1906 in Bonham, Texas (Fannin County), son of George Kellogg Jay (1877-1956) and Mary Elizabeth Ross (1875-1956).
The 1940 Federal Census for Dallas, Texas (Dallas County) shows William G. Jay, a garage mechanic, age 33, born in Texas; and his wife, Ada, age 26, born in Oklahoma. Also living in the household was Ada's widowed mother, Nora Higginbotham, age 60, born in Missouri.
Ada died November 23, 1984 in Arlington, Texas (Tarrant County) and was buried in Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County). William died April 12, 1987 in Arlington, Texas and was buried in Highland Cemetery beside his wife.
