Frankie was the daughter of Fred William 'Bill' Rice and Ruth Mae Berry Rice. She had NO MIDDLE NAME, but a lot of friends up north call her Jackie.
Frankie married Victor 'Bill' Long 14th of Oct 1957 in Gary, Lake Co., Ind.
In her younger days, before & after marring & having children, she waited on tables. She worked for Kresge's during & after it became Kmart & worked in the cafeteria, and then as a cashier.
She leaves behind her daughters and son-in-laws Bobbie Dee Long Lamberson-Poston and Scott Poston of Carnesville, GA; Barbara "Barbi" Dee Long (Clay)Hulse of Comer, GA; Bonnie Dee Long of Knoxville, IN; Brendalee Dee Long of Hohenwald, TN; siblings Ida Flores and Brown Rice of Adrian, MI; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Victor LeRoy Long, son Billy Dee Long, brother Ben Rice (who just passed less then 4 days earlier.. it was the day of his funeral), sisters, Thelma (Reed)Hernandez, Eunice (Rice)Caldwell, Lily (Rice)Phillips and niece Tammy Phillips Earley.
Following a private family gathering at Berry Funeral Home a memorial service celebrating her life will be held and burial will be in the Berry Family Cemetery in Carter Co., TN. Frankie's 1st cousin, Henry Berry, gave a graveside service.
Berry Funeral Home in Elberton, GA was respectfully in charge of the funeral arrangements.
