Mary appears in the 1900 census with her husband Thomas J. Moore and three children, Sadie L., Effie and Bessie D. In the 1920 census she is living with her two daughters, Bessie Moore who is single and her widowed daughter Sadie Stringer. In the 1930 census she has moved to Alameda and she is listed as age 62 and living with her widowed daughter Sadie Stringer, who is being listed as a boarder, while Mary is the proprietor of a boarding house. In 1940, Mary has moved to Berkeley and is living alone but is employed as a manager of an apartment house.

Her death certificate indicates she died in Oakland while residing at 245 8th Street. Her father was William Pinegar. The name on the death certificate record was recorded as Addie Mary Moore, the same name cited in the Idaho Daily Stateman published in Boise, ID in 1919 when her son-in-law, Robert Leonard Stringer passed away. Her daughter, Effie Alevizos was the informant.

Addie Pinegar Moore was a member of the Womens Christian Temperance Union before 1900, she went to conventions all over Id, moved to Portland OR before 1910, husband and daus. Effie & Bessie stayed in Boise, Thomas Judson Moore also. Effie & Bessie traveled, CA & Astoria OR for trips 1900-10. After TJ Moore died 1918 they all moved to Oakland Ca bought a boarding house. Addie was the president of WCTU there. Addie had a sister Martha Ellen "Ella" Pinegar McCreary, m. Sanders 1887, Nov. 1888 m. McCreary, had a son Nov 1888. divorced McCreary 1993, he was a small time local criminal, went to prison. Ella is the mystery no record of her after 1893, her parents raised the boy. That family had a lot of alcohol related arrests. Probably what drove Addie to join WCTU. People never talked about women being alcoholics.
