Emperato—Beebee - Lucille C. Emperato of Aurora and Harley E. Beebee of Wellsville were married Aug. 14 at Faith Chapel Assembly of God. The Rev. Rodrick Highsmith officiated. Maid of honor was Nancy Polhamus, daughter of the bride. Dale Beebee was his father's best man. The couple will live on Dublin Hill Road in Aurora.

Wellsville, N.Y. — Harley E. Beebee, 89, of Aurora, formerly of Venice Center, passed away Thursday (Jan. 13, 2011) at Jones Memorial Hospital, in Wellsville.
Mr. Beebee was born in Venice, on Nov. 29, 1921, the son of the late David A. and Florence Mosher Beebee. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Pacific Rim. Upon returning home he was employed at Columbian Rope until 1959 and then worked for the Town of Venice Highway Dept retiring in 1985. Harley married Anna Hleboski in 1947, she predeceased him in 1976. Years later he married Lucille Polhamus, together they enjoyed socializing at flea markets and farmers markets in the area. Lucille predeceased him on July 4, 2010. Harley was a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church in Aurora.
He is survived by his children, Shirley M. (Don) Adams of Colorado and Dale (Lillian) Beebee of Wellsville; his step-children, Linda White of Candor, Jeffrey Polhamus with Barbara Abbott-King of Aurora, Barbara (Joseph) Whiffen of Cayuga, Raymond Polhamus of Aurora, Sarah Short of Auburn, Nancy Polhamus with Roger Clark of Aurora, Daniel Polhamus of Aurora, Catherine (David) Hobart of Moravia and Jennie (Skip) Stearns of Weedsport; his brother, Gerald (Elizabeth) Beebee of Locke and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his wives, Harley was predeceased by his step-daughter, Rebecca Polhamus in 2010 and his step-son-in-law, Martin Short Sr.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the White Chapel Funeral Home Inc, 197 South St., Auburn. Burial will take place in the spring at Venice Center Cemetery. Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Harley E. Beebee may be made to the Faith Assembly of God Church, 1286 Poplar Ridge Rd., Aurora, N.Y. 13026 or the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St, E. Syracuse, N.Y. 13057.
