David Corydon Fisher, died at the Fisher homeplace, four miles east of Frankfort on the Kelley gravel road at 10:40 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 1930.
His demise came as a result of complications of the heart, after a lingering illness of about seven months duration, his condition considered as not being serious until a few weeks ago.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David A. Fisher and Alice Talbert Fisher.
He was married on May 28, 1896, to Jennie Myers, whose death came on May 5, 1905. To this union was born three sons, Victor V., Homer b., and David O. Fisher, all of Frankfort.
On December 1, 1914, he was married to Mary Stanbrough King, who survives.
He is also survived by his three sons, Victor, Homer and David Fisher, all of Frankfort; one brother, Thomas H. Fisher of 705 North Clay street, this city; one grandson, Darrell Carlton Fisher, of this city; one step-daughter, Viola Ludders of South Bend, Ind.; four step-sons, Harvey and Homer King of Casselton, Ind., and George King, who lives in North Dakota (obit doesn't mention the 4th son); several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
He lived practically his entire life in the vicinity of his homeplace, and devoted his time to the carpenter trade and work of farming. He is highly respected by his many friends and his passing is deeply regretted.
The funeral will be held at his home on the Kelley gravel road at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, 1930, with Aughe and Son in charge. Rev. Miles of Michigantown will officiate and interment will be in Bunnell cemetery.
