Artist. He was a student of Marc Chagall, one of the three principal followers of Kazimir Malevich, a pioneer in the visionary avant-garde movement called Suprematism, and, later, the only practicing Suprematist architect. This is the first exhibition that examines Khidekel's career from the years immediately following the Russian revolution to the fall of the Soviet state. In the darkest years of Soviet totalitarianism Khidekel managed to incorporate radical principles into official architectural commissions.
