According to the cemetery transcript, Ben was a son of Henry & Jane (Valutenberg) Harden. Someone on Ancestry.com though referred to his parents as Henry & Sarah Jane (Van Valkenburgh) Harden and posted that in the 1880 census for Milton, Martinsburg Twp., Pike Co., IL, Ben was living with his Uncle Perry Van Valkenburg. The cemetery transcript says that Ben was the husband of "Belinda Harden (Mausoleum)." They were m. 4 Nov. 1880 and someone at Ancestry.com also says that he secondly m. Addie Nihizer in 1926. Benjamin and Belinda were in the 1900, 1910, and 1920 census for Hocking Co., OH. Their dau. Mary Jane "Jennie" Harden, who was b. 3 Aug. 1881 in Starr Twp., Hocking Co., OH, m. John Henry "Henry" Allen. According to Benjamin's relative at Ancestry.com, Benjamin was a member of Odd Fellows for more than 61 years and he was a Methodist.
