Mrs. Clyde Rouse Dies at Hospital
Mrs. Lela Rouse, 68, died Friday evening at 6:30 in the Washington County Hospital.
Funeral services for the lifelong resident of the Washington Community will be held Monday at 3 p.m. in the Jones Funeral Home here with the Rev. Walter Smith in charge. Burial is to be in the Elm Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Rouse had made her home 5 ½ miles north of Washington.
Lela White was born Feb. 25, 1892, a daughter of Edward J. and Minnie Mills White.
She was reared and educated in the Washington community and on Oct. 20, 1928, was married to Clyde Rouse in Washington.
She was a member of the local Methodist Church.
Mr. Rouse died May 14, 1960.
Survivors include foster son, John Killian of Brighton; four sisters, Mrs. Karle Libe, Mrs. Frank Libe, Mrs. Floyd Banks, all of Washington, and Mrs. Paul Lytle of Burlington; also a number of nieces and nephews.
