Mrs. Frank Libe, 85, Dies Saturday
Mrs. Frank A. Libe, 85, of 3 ½ miles southwest of Washington died Saturday, Dec. 7, 1974 at the Washington Care Center. She had not been well for several years and seriously ill the past two months.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. John McCorkell in charge. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery.
Dessie M. White was born June 17, 1889 in Washington County, a daughter of Edward and Minnie Mills White. She was reared in this community and married Feb. 18, 1909 to Frank Adam Libe. He died July 25, 1939.
She was a charter member of the HEO Club, a member of the United Methodist Church, and had lived on the same farm for 65 years.
Surviving are one son, Maurice of Washington; one grandson, Francis Libe of Knoxville; two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Marjorie) Lytle of Burlington and Mrs. Floyd (Mary) Banks of Washington; and a number of nieces and nephews.
