Poet, novelist and playwright. He was a member of the Chilean literary vanguard from early twentieth Century beside Teófilo Cid, Enrique Gómez Correa, Vicente Huidobro, Gabriela Mistral and Pablo Neruda. Was awarded several prizes, including the National Literature Prize 1984. Among his works are: "El mundo y su doble", "El pensamiento transmitido", "Discurso del gran poder", "Adiós a la familia", "El laberinto de Greta", "Escritos mundanos" and "Realidad desalojada".
