Carson Douglas Reynolds, Sr., 83, of 2609 Franklin Tpke, Danville, VA died Thursday, August 30, 2012 in Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born June 19, 1929 in Pittsylvania County, he was the son of the late Linwood "L.O." Oscar Reynolds, Sr. and the late Ella Jackson Reynolds. He was married to Nannie Davis Reynolds who survives of the residence.

He owned and operated Mt. Hermon Service Station and Grocery with his wife and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in World War II.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Donna R. Mehalko, his son, Carson Douglas Reynolds, Jr. and wife, Aggie, all of Danville;
his sisters, Lemma Davis and Hazel Gregory, both of Danville and his brother, Jerome F. Reynolds of Richmond. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Danya Zuniga, Dana Mehalko, Brian Reynolds and Andrew Reynolds and his great-granddaughter, Lily Reynolds.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Bessie Crane,
Ruby Hutson, Frances Hutson, Mary Flannigan, Rebecca Adkerson and his brothers, Beverley Reynolds, Linwood Oscar Reynolds, Jr., Dale Reynolds, Beacham Reynolds and Thurman Reynolds.
