Nettie Jones Brundige Died Tuesday From Extended Illness
Mrs. Nettie Jones Brundige died early Tuesday morning at the Dr. Lonzo Jones Hospital in Fulton, KY., from an extended illness.
Mrs. Brundige was born in the Mount Moriah community April 4, 1879, she was 77 years of age. She was the daughter of the late John F. Jones and Mary Frances Golden Jones of Latham.
Mrs. Brundige was active in the community club work and church activities as long as health permitted. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
Funeral services were Thursday at New Hope by Rev. Arthur Wilkinson and Rev. K.L. Moore, with burial in the church cemetery. W.W. Jones & Sons directed arrangements.
She leaves her husband, Joseph Albert Brundige, to whom she was married on April 12, 1903; two brothers, W.W. Jones of Martin, and Dr. David Lonzo Jones of Fulton; two sisters, Callie Jones Butts of Fulton, and Charity Jones Shanklin of Latham; six nephews and seven nieces.
Pallbearers were; Aaron Butts, Doyle Phillips, Varon Shanklin, Carlos Brundige, Irvin Brundige, and Brownlow Brundige.
