Mrs. Roy (Ethel) Vance, 78, of Route 4, Muscatine, died at 10:45 p.m. Sunday at Muscatine General hospital, having been ill since June 1.
Born at Mercer County, Ill, June 3, 1890, the daughter of David and Olive Kiddoo Braucht, she had been a resident here for 39 years.
August 18, 1914 at Mountain Home, Idaho, the former Ethel Braucht married Frank Roy Vance. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Ralph J. Wittich funeral home. Burial will be at Peniel cemetery near Joy.
The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich funeral home where friends may call after noon on Tuesday.
