Born in Fayette County, W.Va., on February 19, 1936, Nancy grew up in Huntington, W.Va., graduating from Huntington East High School in 1954. Nancy attended business school in Huntington and worked at Island Creek Coal Company. When she returned to Huntington following her husband's death, she worked at the Cabell County Health Department.
For many years Nancy had been a resident of Bob Hope Village in Shalimar and active in the Air Force Sergeants Association. A person of very deep faith, she worshiped at Delores Hope Memorial Chapel at the Village. In Huntington, she was active at 26th Street Baptist Church. She had a love of music and enjoyed playing the violin and singing to her grandchildren and great grandchildern.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, MSGT Kenneth R. Harmon (USAF Retired) and infant daughter, Donna Gale Harmon; and her parents Roy E. and Dorothy I. (McGraw) Pack.
She is survived by her son, Keith E. Harmon of Largo, Fla.; granddaughters Brandi Fehernbach and Jessica Harmon, Largo, Fla.; grandson, Jacob Harmon, Largo, Fla.; brothers and sisters-in-law Jim and Charlotte Pack, Owensboro, Ky., Fred and Julia Pack of South Point, Ohio; sister and brother-in-law Bill and Debbie (Pack) Lapole, Gainesville, Fla.; sister-in-law, Judith Harmon, Brandon, FL; sister-in-law Jean Ward, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law Frances Harmon, Virginia; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was loved by family and friends and will be greatly missed by all. Notice of a memorial service at Woodmere Cemetery will be placed at a later date.
