ADA -- Former Ada resident Jene P. Agin, 94, died at 4 a.m. Monday at a nursing home in Louisa, Ky.
He was born June 23, 1891, in Hancock County, the son of William and Jessie Taughenbauch (sic) Agin. On Dec. 20, 1913, he married Elfie May Stonehill, who died March 14, 1967. He then married Jona Walker, who survives in Salyersville, Ky.
Mr. Agin was a retired employee of the former Ream's Hardware, Ada. He was a self-employed landscaper and gardener. He was a member of Bethel Church of Christ, where he was a former deacon.
Survivors also include two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Elmer Agin of Ada.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, Rev. Terry Alverson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
