A stroke proved fatal to George W Brown of this place. Monday afternoon at this home, 1716 Prairie St, Elkhart.
He had been an employee of the New York Central for nearly half a century.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Misses Bessie C and Olive J Brown, both at home; a son, Arthur S Brown, Wakarusa.
Mr Brown retired from the New York Central in 1939 after 49 years service. He was a member of the New York Central Pensioners association.
The funeral will be held today, Thursday at 1:30 o'clock at the White funeral home in Elkhart, with burial in Grace Lawn cemetery.
