---Funeral services for Herman Baldwin will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday (Nov. 25, 1987) at the Travis Funeral Chapel in LaPlata with the Rev. Stan East conducting the services. Burial will be in the LaPlata cemetery.
---Mr. Baldwin, 72, of Kansas City died unexpectedly Sunday evening (Nov. 22, 1987) at Parklane Medical Center in Kansas City.
---The son of William and Bessie (Sterling) Baldwin, he was born Nov. 18, 1915 in Macon county. On Sept. 17, 1934 in Hannibal, he married Mary Sears who survives.
---Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Toby) Johnson, Mrs. Paul (Glenna) Johnson, and Mrs. Ross (Esta) Broderick, all of Kansas City; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Jim (Alice) Bent of Kansas City; two aunts and an uncle.
---Mr. Baldwin resided in Macon county until 1981 when he moved to Buckner. He moved to Kansas City in 1984. For 21 years, he was a car salesman for General Motors before retiring in 1977. He was a member of the First Baptist Church
