Jack W. Day, 68 of Calvert City died at 3:30 p.m. July 12,2007, at Calvert City Convalescent Center.

He was a retired truck driver.

Surviving are his mother, Virgie Shumaker of Calvert City: two sons and daughters in law, Mr. and Mrs Mike Day of St. Charles, Mo.. amd Mr amd Mrs Geoivannia Day of Murray; a brother Phillip Day of Mount Vernon, Mo. ; two sisters Virginia (Mike) Swift of Calvert City and Patty (Ronnie) Dodson; of Paducah; a half brother, Jack Dean Day of Crittenden County; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was preceded by his wife, Alice May Small Day, and his father, Jess Willard Day. His grand parents Jesse James and Lula Day of Livingston Co.

There will be no visitation he was cremated and ashes buried by his wife.

Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah was in charge of arrangements.
