Services were held 2 p.m. this Tuesday at the Sturgeon Bay Moravian church for Mrs. Minnie DeFaut, 72, of Sturgeon Bay. Mrs. DeFaut, who resided at the Four Arrows Trailer court, died at Antigo Saturday morning, June 10, following a short illness.
She was born Mar. 30, 1900 in Phlox, Wis., to John and Elizabeth Brandel and had lived most of her life in Sturgeon Bay. She was a member of the Moravian church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Marvin DeFaut. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Johnson, Sturgeon Bay, four grandchildren, Mrs. Calvin (Cheryl) Martell, Mrs. John (Jacqueline) Sievers, Thomas and Timothy Mitok; four great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Arnott, California, Mrs. Roland Gilbert, Rhinelander, Mrs. Robert Rodman, Monico; three brothers, Henry Brandel and Chester Brandel, both of California, and William Brandel of Racine.
The Rev. Gary Straughan officiated at Mrs. DeFaut's final rites. Interment was at Bayside cemetery. The Davis Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
