Dorothy E. Cantrell Farnese, 81, of the Washington County Home died at 1:15 a.m. on Thursday (Feb. 1, 2007).
She was born in Kenmore, Ohio, on June 12, 1925, to Okey Hill Davis and Goldie B. Deviney Davis. She was a homemaker.
Dorothy married John Wilson Cantrell II, who preceded her in death. One son and one daughter survive, Danny A. Cantrell of Columbus, Ohio, and Beverly Ann (Howard) Naufzinger of Bucyrus, Ohio. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Keith, Danielle, Kamra and Rebecca; one brother, Gerald Davis of Northvale, N.J.; several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Vivian Davis. She later married Gary Farnese, who also preceded her in death.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Lester Paul Davis, Chester A. Davis and Donald R. Davis.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday (Feb. 5) at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Burial will be in Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. on Sunday until the hour of the service.
The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the Washington County Home and Muskingum Valley Rest Home in Beverly for the loving care extended to Dorothy.
