Funeral services for Gerald "Gary" Parr, 39,of Omaha and formerly of Scribner, are set for Friday morning in Omaha. He died Tuesday in Bishop Clarkson Hospital in Omaha following a long illness.
Services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Crosby-Kunold Farnum Street Chapel, 32nd Avenue and Farnum Street, and will continue at 10 at Holy Cross Church, 4803 William St., in Omaha.
The son of Albert and Betty (Moser)Parr, he was born Jan. 27, 1942, in Scribner. He had lived in Omaha since 1965 and previously lived in Scribner. He was a self-employed contractor and was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve.
Mr. Parr married Maureen Danahy Oct. 15, 1966, in Omaha. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Dennis, and two daughters, Julie and Amy, all at home; mother, Mrs. Betty Parr, Scribner; brothers, Ronald, Greensboro, N.C.and Roger, Fremont; and a sister, Mrs. Roger (Mary) Grunke, Scribner.
Rosaries will be said at 7:30 tonight at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont and at 7:30p.m. Thursday at Crosby-Kunold Farnum Street Chapel in Omaha.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Omaha.
Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial has been established for the Parr Children's Educational Fund at Holy Cross Church in Omaha.
