Dolores "Lola" Baros, age 96, lived an incredible, joyful and faithful life before she was called home on August 26, 2012.

Lola as she was known to her friends, loved to dance, loved to laugh and loved all the children she lovingly cared for in her life. As a nanny to several families, many people considered Dolores a mother, a grandmother and trusted friend.

Lola is survived by her children, Bea Armijo and her husband, Tom, Richard A. Baros and his wife, Jeana, and son-in-law Joe Pohl, brother, Eulogio Silva of Bernalillo, children were the light of Dolores' world as she enjoyed many hours of laughter and love with her twelve grandchildren, those blessed to call her "Grandma" include Brenda Lial and her husband, John, Duane Abeyta, Madonna Martin and her husband, Jeff, Desiree Brown and her husband, Steve, Rachael Baros, Alisa Flickinger and her husband, John, Chrys Armijo, Rick Baros and his wife, Renee, Stephen Estrada, Marla Schwarz and her husband, Lanny and Samantha Estrada and twenty-five great-grandchildren.

Dolores was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank N. Baros, children, Elizabeth Pohl and Frank A. Baros Jr., as well as grandson, David Baros.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 3, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldón Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Fourth St. NW, in Alameda where Dolores attended Mass most of her adult life. Afterward, Dolores will be laid to rest beside her husband of 65 years at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Leonard Casaus, Pat Gallegos, Herman Silva, Justin Lial, Rick Baros and Arthur Montoya. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Armijo, Chrys Armijo, Bobbie Baros, Joe Pohl, Stephen Estrada, John Lial, Duane Abeyta and Audilo Tenorio.
