Son of Abraham Woolman and Elizabeth Newton.

He married Rebecca Woolman in 1790.

They had 11 children, Edith, Joseph, Hannah, Abraham, Abigail, Mary Elizabeth, Samuel Newton, Rachel, Susan, Rebecca and Eber.

Eber Woolman, son of Abraham and Elizabeth (Newton) Woolman, was born about 1769 in Burlington Co, NJ, and married Rebecca Woolman, born 29 Jan 1772, daughter of Asher and Rachel (Norcross) Woolman. The prospect of gaining new lands and riches prompted a migration from the Quaker community in Burlington Co, NJ. In 1818 Eber and Rebecca Woolman with several other families moved to the area of Clarke, Greene, and Clinton Co, OH where others from their home state had settled.

About 1837, Eber Woolman Sr., accompanied by his family, settled in the vicinity of New Carlisle. They came from Clinton Co, OH bringing by teams all their goods, utensils and stock. Joseph, son of Eber had preceded his father, coming in 1834
