Birth: Mar. 7, 1944
Death: Jan. 1, 1997

Country western singer and songwriter. He penned such hits as "Pancho and Lefty" (No. 1 Country Hit - 1983) and "If I Needed You" (No. 3 Country Hit). He never recorded a hit song and his albums, most released on independent labels, were not commercial successes.
