John Prentiss aged 75 died at his home Thursday morning. He was born in Pulteney. He was married to Mies Delia Parker Sept.18,1867,. Besides his wife be leaves five children, Mrs Bertie Case, Mrs Fannie Gibson, Mrs Josephine Brewster of Syracuse, William Prentiss of Baltimore Md and Laverne Prentiss of Pulteney. One daughter, Mrs Stella Whitney, died about 25 years ago. Ho also leaves 7 grandchildren, Elliott and Willford Case, Clifford and Florence Whitney, Ruth (and Marjory Prentiss and Parker Gibson, one brother Wright and one sister Martha Prentiss of Pulteney. He was a veteran of the Civil War.
