Graveside Services for a former Collingsworth County district clerk, Mrs. A.L Allison, were conducted at Fairview Cemetery Friday, Nov. 30. She will be remembered here as Felix Keller, the wife of the late George Keller, Sr. Mrs. Allison, 79, died in Amarillo early Wednesday, Nov. 28.
Mrs. Allison was born Felix Garnder in 1905 at Dodson, the daughter of the late Dolly and Lee Gardner. Mrs. Gardner was a member of the Dodson family, one of the first families to settle in what would become Collingsworth County.
She was married to George Keller in 1925 and he preceded her in death in 1947.
She served as district clerk of Collingsworth County from 1944 to 1948. In 1949, she moved to Amarillo and was on the alterations staff of the ready-to-wear department at White and Kirk for many years.
She and Mr. Allison were married in 1959. She was a member of the Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving Mrs. Allison are her husband, A.L. Allison of Amarillo; two sons, George Keller of Chambersburg.Pa., and Bill Keller of Rockmart, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. Mildred Johnson of Amarillo; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Helen) Ford and Mrs. Ruth Barton Walker.
