From the Northwood Anchor and Worth County Index, January 23, 1930:

"Rites For Mrs. Peter Iverson Held Sunday.

Mrs. Peter Iverson, 80, a resident of Kensett for about 55 years, died at her home in Kensett Tuesday, Jan. 14.
Mrs. Iverson has lived alone in Kensett since the death of her husband which occurred about 15 years ago. She is survived by eight children, none of whom are residents of this vicinity. A granddaughter, a Miss Burdick, of Minot, N. Dak., has been here since Christmas caring for Mrs. Iverson.
Funeral services were held Sunday, the Rev. Wm. Crossley, pastor of the Methodist Church of Northwood, conducting the services at the home, and the Rev. Th. Sigmond being in charge of the services at the Lutheran Church. Burial was at the Kensett cemetery.
Lovica Baker was born October 1, 1849. She was the sixth child born to Mr. and Mrs. William W. Baker, who were residents of the state of New York at the time of her birth.
In 1865 she came to Algona, Iowa, where she made her home. Here in 1870 she was united in marriage to Peter Iverson. In 1875 they came to Kensett where she had since made her home.
Mr. and Mrs. Iverson were the parents of thirteen children, five of whom and their father had preceded the mother in death. In addition to the eight children she is survived by 32 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and other relatives. Her brother, William Baker, of Kanawha, Iowa, three children, and her granddaughter, Miss Florence Burdick, who was caring for her at the time of her death, were present at the funeral. She had been ill for some time before her death."
