Chaminade's 400 published compositions include a symphony, a "Konzertstuck" for piano and orchestra, and a Flute Concertino that is still performed today; but her pure, melodic style was better suited to songs and solo piano pieces. In 1908 she was warmly received on a 12-city concert tour of the United States, and "Chaminade Societies" sprang up in the United States. and Europe.
