Fred Gauss
---Fred Gauss, route one, Tekonsha, Fredonia township, died at his home today at 12:15 a. m. after being in ill health for the past two years.
---Born in Fredonia township, March 16, 1863, the son of Michael and Katherine Gauss, he had been engaged in farming all his lifetime in the Fredonia area.
---On April 9, 1889, he was married in Fredonia to Louise Brukner, who died October 2, 1930.
---Mr. Gauss was a member of the Ellis Corners Evangelical Lutheran church.
---He is survived by two daughters, Olive Gauss, at home and Mrs. Ruth Daws of Long Beach, Calif.; one son, Ilo Gauss, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Hill and Mrs. Clarence Miller, both of Marshall and one brother, Frank Gauss of Marengo township.
---Friends may call at the Kelser funeral home, where services will be held Friday at 2:00 p. m. The Rev. J. W. Hill of Battle Creek will officiate and burial will be in Lyon lake cemetery. Verne T. Palmiter of the Ellis Corners church will assist Mr. Hill.

---Funeral services for Frederick E. Gauss of Fredonia township were held today from the Kelser funeral home, with the Rev. J. W. Hill of Battle Creek of the Ellis Corners church officiating. Interment followed in Lyon Lake cemetery.
---Casketbearers were Frank Goodrich, Ira Hoyt, George Sexton, George Willerick, Harold Maisner and Herbert Bochlke.
