Charles was the son of Daniel and Mary (Ragan) Mathers.
He died of wounds sustained during WWI.
He was preceded in death by his mother, in 1913.
He was survived by his father, brothers, Thomas, Grover, Martin, Michael, and Clarence, sisters, Mae McCroden, Rosalie (at the home), Grace Greve, and Ida Lilly.
