Florn Schutt, Keeline Missing Over Germany
Mrs. Louis Schutt of Keeline received a message on Thursday, March 1, conveying the sad news that her son, T/5 Florn Schutt, was reported missing in action over Germany on February 13.
He had just gone overseas in January and his mother received a letter saying he had arrived alright. His father, Louis Schutt, passed away the 25th of January, and when the letter was written he had not received the word of his father's death.
The message of his being reported among the missing was received at the Orin telegraph office and phoned to Keeline.

Remains of Florn Schutt Laid To Rest Here With Full Honors
The remains of T-5 Florn W. Schutt, son of Mrs. Martha Schutt of Lusk, arrived here Tuesday evening, Nov. 2, accompanied by a military escort. They had been shipped from the quartermaster depot in Kansas City, Mo., where they were sent upon arriving in the States from Metz, France.
The young man was inducted into the service in March of 1942, and in January of 1945 was sent overseas, landing in France, and was killed the following month, February, 1945, in the intensive drive of pushing the enemy back toward Berlin.
Funeral services were held from the Peet Chapel on Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, with Rev. Lawrence P. Juell in charge.
The singers were Mrs. H. J. Templeton and Mrs. A. F. DeCastro, with Mrs. J.P. Watson as accompanist.
The casket bearers were members of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars and escorted the remains to the Lusk Cemetery, where full military honors were accorded at the committal services.
Beside his mother, Mrs. Martha Schutt, he is survived by a brother Carl, and sister, Mrs. Alna Densborn, both of Lusk; two brothers, Arich of Alhambra, Cal., and Marion of Parma, Idaho; and two sisters, Mrs. Carlos Guerrio, Pasadena, Calif., and Mrs. Ernest Rowland, Temple City, Calif.
His father and a sister preceded him in death and a brother, Vern Schutt, died suddenly in April, 1947, at his ranch home near Keeline.
