Alvin Nathaniel "Benny Earl" Hollins, A retired barber and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, at LSU Medical Center. He was 58 and a native of Port Allen.

Visiting at Scott's United Methodist Church, Port Allen, religious service, conducted by the Rev. Daniel Wells. Interment in Scotts United Methodist Cemetery in Port Allen.

He is survived by his wife, Cenobe Hollins; two daughters and a son-in-law, Alkieza Hollins Angrune and Jermaine, and Chenika Bythella Hollins; a son, Alvin Nathaniel Hollins Jr.; a godson, Milton Brown Jr.; an aunt, Arthell Brown; and four grandchildren, Anferneé, Alvinece, Jaden and Nevaeh.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Annetta Hollins; father, Ernest "Da-Dut" Modlies; grandmother, Earline Modlies; and aunt, Vera Powell.

He was a graduate of Cohn High School and had a great passion for all sports. Special thanks to District Six Fire Department.

Hall Davis and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
