Door County Advocate, March 2, 1911

Mr. Wm. L. Betts was recently called to Ludington, Mich., on account of the illness of her mother, Mrs. Victor E. Rohn, who is seriously affected with heart trouble. Mrs. Rohn was for a number of years a resident of the Island, an among her other achievements was the bearing and raising of a family of eighteen children. And more, she proved herself worthy to be called "mother" by many of the young people, for she exhibited always the spirit of a true "mother" wherever she moved and with whomsoever she came in contact.
