William Harold Dill, Sr., 59, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007. Harold was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a recipient of the Purple Heart w/Oak Leaf Cluster, Vietnam Service Medal w/ 4 Bronze Service Stars, National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Combat Infantryman Badge. Expert M-60, Expert Pistol and Sharpshooter Rifle M-14. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Margaret Bell Dill. Graveside funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Belgreen Cemetery with Gene Graham officiating. Mr. Dill is survived by his wife, Linda Bates Dill; three children, William Harold Dill, Jr. of Belgreen, Michelle Poston and husband Blake, of Genesco, IL, and Michael Shane Dill of Belgreen; brother, Ricky Dill; sister, Linda Graham; four grandchildren, Blake Poston, Rivers Poston, Scarlette Poston and Angelia Sanderson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
